Prep

EEW. omg that book was uncalled for. it was kind of boring, and sometimes i would skip over parts just so the time wouldn't seem to go so slow, but it didn't help. there was so much detail in that book! one thing was said, and a whole page explaining either the background of what was just said, or explaining exactly what some person looked like. then the parts near the end with the "late night visits".... well i skipped over parts of that. i hope i didn't miss anything very important.

I did like the fact that she didn't have the perfect life. i have been getting tired of happy ending books, but at least those book give you some hope. i felt like while i was reading this book, i was just reading a normal girl's life, with the normal hardships. I read those books sometimes, and then the perfect ending comes, and it gives me hope of the perfect ending, but this book was just like.. yeah.. life sucks... people sucks. i mean C'MON i already know life sucks. well overall it was a dull book. some parts were good, but mostly it was boring.

Prep

okay, so now i am reading prep. I am currently reading Junior Fall. So far this book is kind of interesting, but it gets boring. It is just a normal girl's life... im familiar with that. I experience it everyday. But some parts are interesting enough.

Th1rteen R3asons Why

Okay, so after i finished Go Ask Alice, i started a new book, and it just so happens that i finished it already. My mom says its because i'm so good at concentrating so i read really well. I have no idea why i go through book so fast.

Here is a blog from amazon.com, just to give you a little taste, before i start explaioning it my way :)
When Clay Jenson plays the casette tapes he received in a mysterious package, he's surprised to hear the voice of dead classmate Hannah Baker. He's one of 13 people who receive Hannah's story, which details the circumstances that led to her suicide. Clay spends the rest of the day and long into the night listening to Hannah's voice and going to the locations she wants him to visit. The text alternates, sometimes quickly, between Hannah's voice (italicized) and Clay's thoughts as he listens to her words, which illuminate betrayals and secrets that demonstrate the consequences of even small actions. Hannah, herself, is not free from guilt, her own inaction having played a part in an accidental auto death and a rape. The message about how we treat one another, although sometimes heavy, makes for compelling reading. Give this to fans of Gail Giles psychological thrillers.

So anyways, this is an extremely good story. I mean AMAZING. This Clay guy like hannah, and he always liked her, but was afraid that the rumors of her being a complete totaly whore/slut were true. These tapes that she mails tell about the hurt she experienced, and Clay goes to the places that she starred on a map and visualises her pain and suffering. He completely loved her, an throughout the book keeps saying in his mind that he could have helped her, only if she had told him she was contemplating suicide. I don't want to give away the whole story Mrs.Faughey, because you might want to read the book (which you totally should because it is wonderful), so I am done, and i think i am going to start a new book now. i dont know which one. I think my mom has secret life of bees. She read it, and loves it. I also have a few books from on and off the list. i guess i will look around. I am also looking on amazon for books. hopefully i will fall upon some really good ones.

Go Ask Alice

So I've decided that I'm probably going to be writing in my blog a lot more than all the other freshman, because i am a pretty avid reader. I finished Go Ask Alice yesterday after school. It was such a good book! Alice has her ups and downs and this book was definitely a page-turner. I think she was just a bit too curious about drugs, which eventually got her in trouble. She thought she could just do it once, but it turns out drugs are way too addictive. if she just smelled some marijuana, she needed some. i think what helped her through all that she went through was her family. When ever she would run away, her family would welcome her back with open arms, and they were extremely supportive. Those kids in school were just cruel. i mean sure, they didn't know giving her drugs in the chocolate would make her scratch off her skin and go crazy, but why did they want her to break down so easily? was it because they weren't as strong as her? I think so. they couldn't bare seeing someone who was off drugs. they thought it was the best thing in the world... why would someone not want it? At the end of the book you think Alice is getting her life together, but when you turn the page, you learn she died three weeks later. i just wish she could have kept the diary up until her death. maybe then we would have known what happened to her.

Mrs.AuCoin told me today that they found out the author of Go Ask Alice made the whole story up. now that's kind of depressing and weird, because the whole time you're reading the story, you keep remembering that this was a real person. But it wasn't. Oh well. Still a good story. I would recommend it to about anyone.

My mother told me that before i read the book i should try to look for the bad things about drugs. Anyone who is already curious about drugs should read this book, because even though at the end of the book Alice says how much of a bad choice it was, for someone who already wants to try it, they will overlook the bad things and Go Ask Alice will just be motivation. So i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is curious about drugs.
